I would like to say that my father's service was beautiful however my concern is more with the manner in which the grounds are maintained. Considering that this is a veterans cemetery you would expect the grounds to be well manicured and appealing but it is not and that is disheartening. My spouse is active duty and having traveled to several other post I can say that this is quite a disappointment. The staff is very polite and friendly but if this is a funding issue than it needs to be addressed because our service members deserve better. This is where they are laid to rest after valiantly serving our country and their place of rest should be as manicured and maintain as they were expected to be when they presented themselves in their uniforms.

My husband, Tommy was laid to rest here. The staff was very polite. I did not know to go back and pick out a head stone until I asked. They gave me an envelope but I did not open it. When i looked in the envelope months after, I saw optional symbols referring to our beliefs to put on the head stone. They are doing a great job in what they do. If you don;t know something ask and not assume. When going through such great sorrow we tend to think /assume the cemetery is the last stop. Not true. I appreciate the gentleness given to me in time of such great sorrow. Thank you.

I totally understand why there is a floral guideline in place but seriously removing a deceased loved ones arrangement after four days is ridiculous. In my opinion that is a disgrace to the deceased and their family and after removal they are thrown in a big pile of disrespect.. Wow! If I could move my love one to a different cemetery I defiantly would.. I am upset and very disguised..

As a member of the armed forces, who has performed many funeral honors at Sandhills, this is by far, one of the best kept veterans cemeteries in North Carolina.

We have dealt with Sandhills Veterans Cemetery over the years many times and we always get superb care. Judy who has worked in the office for many years does an outstanding job. Her phone etiquette and attention to detail is exceptional.
